FAN was one of the much awaited movie of 2016. The King Khan's double role and Maneesh Sharma's direction (whose previous works such as Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Sudh Desi Romance were well appreciated) were factors that added hype for the movie.

The movie starts in Delhi where Gaurav Chadana (Shah Rukh Khan), a die hard fan of Aryan Khanna (also played by Shah Rukh Khan) wins a local talent show by imitating the scenes and songs of his idol Aryan Khanna. He decides to show the Best Actor trophy to his super star on his birthday. Gaurav travels to Mumbai without a train ticket and stays in room number 205 at Delight Hotel just like his superstar Aryan Khanna did when he first reached Mumbai.

Gaurav reaches Aryan Khanna's residence (which appears to be Mannat - the actual residence of Shah Rukh Khan). However he could hardly show the trophy to his idol in between the thousand of fans just like him and the security guards in front of Mannat . Disappointed Gaurav watches a news that Sid Kapoor, a fellow actor, has plans to take legal action against Aryan Khanna for slapping him at his birthday party. This makes the fan angry and manages to get into Sid Kapoor's cabin and threatens him for an apology to Aryaan Khanna. The Fan records the apology and uploads in the internet. When Aryan Khanna comes to know about the fact behind the apology video from his personal assistant Sunania, he considers it as a crime. Aryaan Khanna sends his fan to jail where he is mercifully beaten. Aryan meets Gaurav secretly in jail and declares that he is not a fan. Gaurav is shattered and heartbroken. He spends two days in jail silently and returns home as an entirely new person. He burns all the photos and wallpapers he had of Aryan Khanna and confirms himself that the superstar will make an apology to him because people like him are the reason behind the success of Aryan Khanna. This is where the real story starts (and where the excitement ended for me)

Being a SRK fan I was eager to watch this movie. It was the movie about every individual who idolizes the superstar. The movie conveys that fandom is acceptable but extreme obsession is dangerous and is never encouraged by anyone. The first half of the movie is brilliantly crafted. It makes us glued to the movie. Unfortunately the second half did not impress me that much. As much as the first half was good, the second half was that much worse. First half is realistic and interesting whereas second half becomes fake and boring.The fan who calls himself Junior Aryan Khanna , were given a slightly different look with projected teeth in the first half. In the second half somehow Junior Aryan Khanna manages to look exactly like the Senior and nobody identifies that he is fake. The second half actually disturbed me because of the fact that too many unrealistic things where happening. May be I was disturbed because the movie has created a high bench mark in its first one hour and dropped drastically in the remaining movie.

One thing we have to admit is that SRK has given a mind-blowing performance,  especially the character of Gaurav (the fan) is portrayed very well. The body language and mannerism of Gaurav is absolutely fresh and different from normal SRK character . I even doubted that it was the Shah Rukh Khan itself or not. The movie is about SRK vs SRK and its exciting to watch. The movie would have been brilliant only if the second half had the same standard the initial part of the movie had!

I would go for 2.5 out of 5. (Average)

Today I will review about my experience with OGX Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner. I have a slightly curly hair and has always dreamt of a naturally super straight hair (yeah no chemical treatments involved). That was the time when this product grabbed my attention with its "ever straight" conditioner. Read on to know my experience!

What OGX Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner claims:

Helps smoothen and strengthen your curly or wavy tresses  (thats exactly what I was looking for!)

Directions

After shampooing, apply  Conditioner generously to hair, working through ends. Wait 3-5 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly. For best results, use in conjunction with other OGX products.

Ingredients

Deionized Water, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycol Stearate, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Parfum, Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein, Theobroma Cacao Extract (Cocoa Butter), Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut), Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado), Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Extract (Aloe Leaf), Panthenol, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 40, Yellow 5

This conditioner is everything and anything I wanted for my hair(Or thats what I thought so). It is an exclusive blend with coconut oil, keratin proteins, avocado oil and cocoa butter. Since I have a super frizzy hair I always look for conditioner which has oil base ingredients to effectively moisturize the hair. So having coconut oil with avocado oil in one product was a bonus for me. Both the ingredients are proven for moisturizing and strengthening your hair naturally. Not to mention, the inclusion of keratin proteins, which help to make hair straight, is another reason for me to grab this product to my shopping cart. 

I applied the conditioner after shampooing my hair. The first thing (or the only thing?) that makes you fell in love with this conditioner is its smell! The cocoa butter fragrance is really tempting and the best part is that it stays for a pretty long time. But thats not a conditioner is for. I started seeing some effects of using the product after my hair got dried up. It made my hair so dry and unmanageable than ever. The worst part was it even dried my scalp! I could see dry flakes all over my head. I had to literally apply some coconut oil to reverse the effect. Yes it made my hair straight, but at the same time it also made it dry, kinky and breakable. As I comb, my hair was easily breaking than usual. It just went from "ever straight" to "ever dry"!

I was so confused because I had actually found so many good reviews about this product. I assume that it is not suitable for dry hair or atleast mine. And also the place where I was staying was cold and less humid. That might also be another factor. Or it can be also due to the fact that I never used the conditioner in conjunction with any OGX products. It has all the ingredients for a perfect conditioner and its Sulfate free. But something just did not work out as expected. Well I guess this conditioner was just not suitable for my hair type. 

My rating is 1.5 out of 5 (thats for the heavenly smell)

Most body washes will get you clean, but some do more than just get the job done. Today I will be reviewing one of such kind - Nivea Care & Hibiscus Moisturizing Body Lotion. This body wash has replaced the Nivea Touch Of Serenity Body Wash, Moisturizing, Hibiscus Blossom Scent & Aloe Essence. A body wash that cleanses as well as moisturizes is something to look forward, as each time we take a shower in hot or even warm water, the natural oils are leached away. So using a moisturizing body wash is always a good option.

What Nivea Care & Hibiscus Moisturizing Body Lotion claims:

• Soft, smooth skin after showering
• Gives skin intense, long lasting moisturization with no greasy feel

Directions

Pour onto wet hands, wash cloth or pouf. Massage over body. Rinse off.

Ingredients

Water/Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Glyceryl Glucoside, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyquaternium-7, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Citric Acid, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Fragrance/Fragancia, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Salicylate.

The first thing that comes to my mind about this product is its unique scent. It has a heavenly aroma of hibiscus blossom which makes you feel rejuvenated after the shower. Unfortunately that fragrance doesn't last long. Coming to the moisturization claim, I think it gives justice to its statement. After each time of application, I feel like my skin is submerged in a stream of creamy consistency of cleanser. But again, for my skin type, that moisturizing effect also doesn't last long as I have to apply a moisturizer to keep it hydrated. But still I would recommend it on the basis that its after all a body wash and not a moisturizer, so its doing its job. Moreover it doesn't rip off your natural oils like most “highly fragranced” body washes does. Therefore I give a thumbs up for this product.

But that doesn't mean you can apply anything and everything on to your skin. Choosing the right moisturizer will give you the best result. I was once looking for a moisturizer as I was running out of my usual one and found the Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I had recently moved to USA that time and in my country we don't get this product. So I haven't really heard about it before. The best thing about Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion is that it really does its job. Its nourishes, moisturizes, absorb really well and makes your skin looks healthy. I have a very dry and sensitive skin, so not all lotion goes well for me. But my skin responded wonderfully to this lotion. Even though the product is fragrance free it doesn't have the chemical odor which usually fragrance free lotion tend to have. The lotion continues with its hydrating power throughout the day. Moreover it comes in a pump pack, which makes it super convenient to apply. I apply the lotion to my face also and therefore eliminating the need to reapply a separate face moisturizer. Moreover the twin pack is reasonable and will last for a really long time. In short, I totally love this product and think that its a great help for dry and sensitive skin.

Sun is always harsh during summer. Nowadays one cannot think of stepping out without applying sun protectant. Experts say that we need to apply a sun protectant every single time we step out, even in winters and even during night!!! Today I will review about my all time favorite sun protection lotion - Biotique Bio Carrot 40+SPF UVA/UVB Sunscreen Lotion.

The company claims that the lotion 

• Protects skin with broad spectrum SPF 40 UVA/UVB sunscreen
• Reduces the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects of the sun

Directions

Apply liberally before sun exposure. Reapply, as needed, after swimming or perspiring activities.

Parijat (Nyctanthes arbortristis), Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), Gajar (Daucus carota), Yashad bhasm Zind ash with herbs, Singjerahata (Talc), Cream Base Q.S.

Biotique products has been my personal favorite because of its ayurvedic properties. The company claims that its 100% botanical extracts. Now coming to the product, Biotique Bio Carrot Sunscreen comes in three varieties 

1. Biotique Bio Carrot Sunscreen Lotion 40+ SPF
2. Biotique Bio Carrot Sunscreen Face Cream 40+ SPF
3. Biotique Bio Carrot Sunscreen Lotion 25+ SPF

I will be reviewing on the first product, that is Bio Carrot Sunscreen Lotion 40+ SPF. I always prefer natural products on my skin and therefore when I found this in the store I thought of giving it a try. I have a dry skin and this lotion moisturizes the skin effectively without any sticky feeling. I even had some sun burns which went miraculously after applying the lotion. It protects my skin from the harsh UV rays naturally. I just love the smell of this product. Some of my friends are not a great fan of the smell, claiming to be medicinal odor, but me, I just love them. But the smell doesn't stay for much time. It also gives the skin a cooling effect when applied. One negative thing I found is the packing. A pump pack would have been better for a much simpler and easier  application

It gives protection from both UVB (which effects the outer layer of the skin causing sunburn and tan) and UVA (which penetrate deep into the skin causing wrinkling, sagging and premature aging). So after application your skin feels protected inside and outside!!

Nariyal Jal, Dudhal, Manjishta, Nimbu,Jojoba Oil, badam Tail. Enriched with aloe vera and chamomile extracts.

The best thing I like about Khadi Herbal Hair serum is that its completely natural. I use this serum on my dry hair after shampooing. I take a small amount of the serum in my palm, add little water and gentle apply it to my hair. After applying the serum the hair looks healthy and gives an instant shine. Its true that the serum miraculously eases tangles and makes the hair manageable. Another best part is that the serum doesn't weigh down my hair as it quench the thirst of my hair by nourishing it effectively. I never apply the serum in my roots and therefore cannot write about the company's claim of keeping the hair roots strengthened. I have been using only for two month now, so i can't fully agree that the serum has cured my split ends too. May be I have to use it for a longer time. It comes in a small bottle and its travel friendly. It has a light fragrance which last only for 1 to 2 minutes of application. Initially I thought that the price is too high for a 50ml bottle. But to my surprise I found that one bottle would last more than one month. So its a total rescuer for people with dry and frizzy hair
